The name says it all. Wilderness Place Lodge is a deluxe Alaska fishing lodge offering day trips and multi-day packages in south-central Alaska. Accommodates up to 16 anglers at a time in six comfortable and well-appointed riverside cabins.
The fishing
Catering for fly-fishermen and spin fishermen alike, those staying at Wilderness Place Lodge get unrivalled access to Lake Creek – home to excellent numbers of trout and salmon.
Upon arrival at the lodge, guests are assigned a fishing guide who will accompany them during the course of their stay. That means a focus of one guide & boat per 2-3 guests.
The facilities
One standard and five deluxe cabins accommodate up to 16 anglers at any one time, and the focus is very much on providing a superior standard of lodging for guests. Fine food, customized itineraries and attentive guides are the watchwords at Wilderness Place, and the excellent fishing rounds off the experience. As well as the excellent dining room and noted food, there’s a wooden lodge bar featuring local Alaskan microbrews and fine wines, complimentary fly-tying table and lounge area.

6 nights/6 days: $4,528/person
All-Inclusive raft trips + lodge stay: $3,756/person (includes 5 nights on the river, fishing, camping, wildlife-watching and final night at the lodge)
