The beauty of the Middle Keys is that they provide easy access to both the Gulf of Mexico to the north (home to the likes of with Goliath groupers, cobia and king mackerel) and incredible offshore action to the south. The Marathon Hump (known locally as the West Hump) rises up to within 500 feet below sea level, producing an upwelling of nutrients that acts as a magnet for pelagic species. The Middle Keys is also an excellent flats-fishing destination, and probably one of the best areas for DIY fly-fishing within the Florida Keys, with access to the water available at Long Key State Park and Little Duck Key. Choose from a list of Middle Florida Keys fishing lodges, guides and charters below or browse the map to find your desired location…
