Ragged Island Lodge Reopens

Some great news just in, by way of the folks over at Angling Destinations – after being closed for two years, Ragged Island Lodge in the Bahamas is all set to open its doors again…

As anyone who fished there in the past will know, we’re talking about a special place – a seriously remote, pristine fishery and one for the more adventurous fisherman only. There are huge numbers of bonefish and a few permit, and having not seen an angler’s fly for the last two years, they should be hungrier than ever.

As Scott Heywood from Angling Destinations says, “If you’re looking for adventure in a pristine environment, this is it! While not for everyone, the lodge offers comfortable, but not luxurious amenities, island fare with an emphasis on seafood and eager, if not polished, guides.

“We are excited to be able to offer trips to this area again! We will be organizing a limited schedule for this fall and a three month schedule for spring 2013.”
