Florida South
Miami >> Biscayne Bay >> Flamingo >> Everglades >> Marco Island
Anglers visiting South Florida are spoilt for choice. Miami and stunning Biscayne Bay is famed for its tarpon, permit and bonefish sport. The spring tarpon migration is a particular highlight – as is the size of bonefish here. They might not be as abundant as they are in some other locations, but there are some monsters out there.
Head west and you’re into the Everglades National Park and the 10,000 Islands. Another light-tackle and fly-fisherman’s dream, this wild and sprawling wilderness is the perfect place to go in search of redfish, snook, trout, tarpon, sharks and plenty else besides.
And don’t forget about deep-sea fishing off Miami – there are countless charters in the area offering spectacular offshore fishing for the likes of blue marlin, sailfish, tuna, dorado, wahoo, sharks, barracuda and kingfish.
The Miami and Everglades area is awash with hotels – below you can choose from a list of the best fishing lodges and other suitable accommodations, along with the best guides and charters, or browse the map to find your desired location…
