Florida East

Fort Lauderdale>> Jupiter >> Mosquito Lagoon & Indian River>> Daytona>> Amelia Island>> Brunswick

Indian River, Banana River, Mosquito Lagoon, Sebastien Inlet… Florida’s Atlantic seaboard and its environs are teeming with destinations that have taken their place in fishing folklore – names that conjure up images of redfish tailing in shallow lagoons, backcountry waters filled with supersize snook, speckled trout and tarpon.
A plethora of mainstream vacation destinations such as Disney World and the Kennedy Space Center also makes this one of the premier places to visit with the family and grab a day or two of fishing along the way.
Deep-sea and near-shore charters along Florida’s east coast cater to families and serious fishermen alike, meaning there’s a charter to suit every taste.
As a light-tackle and fly-fishing destination, this place is hard to top. Mosquito Lagoon and the Indian River (just 45 minutes east of Orlando), provide incredible sight-fishing for redfish in particular, with snook, black drum and tarpon all abundant too. Or, for something a little different, how about hunting down some monster jack crevalle off Amelia Island? Whatever takes your fancy, Florida’s east coast will deliver the goods.
