A lush, secluded sanctuary on the western coast of Costa Rica, Golfito is located across from the Osa Peninsula on the Golfo Dulce. The Rancho Tropical is an intimate fishing lodge nestled between the rainforest and Golfito’s Playa Cacao, with fishing for sailfish, blue marlin, black marlin, dorado, roosterfish, barracuda and snook.
From their two 31’ boats, the “Muy Caliente” and the “Incommunicado”, Rancho Tropical cover all the bases as far as fishing on Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast goes. You can head offshore and go billfishing for sailfish, blue marlin, black marlin, dorado and tuna or you can try out the world-famous inshore fishery for the likes of roosterfish barracuda, jacks and snook.
All the cabinas offer private baths with walk-in showers and hot water, ceiling fans, mini-fridge, safe, DVD players, coffee makers, twin beds and daily maid service. Property amenities include BBQ grill, swimming pool, hillside patio overlooking the bay, hiking trail leading up into the rainforest, covered dock area over the water and hammocks scattered throughout the property.
4 nights/3 days fishing: $2,475 (single occupancy: $4,650)
7 nights/5 days fishing: $4,175 (single occupancy: $7,800)
