Pemba Beach Hotel & Spa – Pemba, Mozambique
Pemba Beach Hotel and Spa is the gateway to the exotic and little-explored Quirimbas Archipelago on the northern coastline of Mozambique, as well as the Niassa National Reserve. It offers access to some excellent fishing, (particularly for sailfish, giant trevally and yellowfin tuna) in a unique setting.
The fishing
The Pemba area in northern Mozambique is noted for its year-round fishing, with sailfish season between July and December and yellowfin tuna moving though the area in big shoals all year round. Giant trevally are also present year-round and marlin are occasionally caught. Fishing is done from a Gulf Craft 31’ Dolphin Super Deluxe, powered by two 115hp Yamaha outboard motors.
The facilities
Guests have a choice of 3-star classic rooms, luxury courtyard rooms, a variety of suites or self-catering villas. All rooms have air-conditioning, en-suite bathrooms, satellite TV, personal bar and al-fresco patios. The 102 rooms all have sea views and individual balconies.
Rates
From $380 per person per night (rate includes accommodation, breakfast, airport transfers and non-motorised watersports).
Fishing is extra.
