Secret Soul Fly Fishing – Nassau, Bahamas
Something of a rarity, this: a guiding service operating out of Nassau that’s dedicated to fly- and light-tackle fishing for bonefish. Secret Soul, headed up by Captain Clint Kemp and Aaron “Big Bone” Bain does an important job in Nassau, catering for those in town on business, vacation or cruises who can only manage a quick day or half day on the water.
The fishing
All guests are picked up at their hotel or cruise ship and the boat is then trailered to that day’s chosen put-in point. The average drive time is 20 minutes with a further 15 minutes to run to the flats. Expect to encounter 3-5lb bonefish for the most part with occasional specimens in the 6-10lb bracket. A half day guided wading trip includes all fishing equipment, boots, drinks, snacks and transportation. You will travel by vehicle to remote flats where you can step out of the vehicle and straight into the action.
Rates
Half day $500
Full day $650 (Rates are for the boat and 1-2 anglers, drinks, snacks and ice are provided)
Half day wading: $275 (Rate is for 1 angler, $100 for additional angler, max of 2 anglers)
