The fishing

Based in Key West, but covering the Lower Florida Keys (from Content to the Marquesas), Captain Mike specializes in sight fishing for bonefish, tarpon, permit, barracuda and sharks, plus everything else that swims in this rich ecosystem.

Mike’s boat is a 2011 18′ Beavertail BT3 flats skiff – capable in running in a foot of water, it’s the perfect craft for flats fishing in the Florida Keys. It’s equipped with top-of-the-line gear from Sage, Tibor, Colton, Penn, Shimano and Star Rods. As Mike says, “Whether you want to pursue a tournament winning permit on fly or have a ten year old kid simply bend a rod for the first time, everyone is welcome aboard my boat.”

A range of charters are available, from half- to full-day options.
