The fishing

With access to over 200 square miles of fishable water, the back bay fishing here is truly superb, with a variety of fish available including snook, redfish, trout, tarpon and shark. Fly-fishing is available by request but the back bay boats generally fish in shallow water with light spinning tackle and live bait.

Deep-sea fishing charters in the Gulf waters give you the opportunity to target species like including grouper, snapper, shark, barracuda, kingfish, mackerel and tarpon.

Deep-sea boats run full day trips, typically from 8am to 5pm. Each boat (can carry up to six anglers in comfort and safety.

For both deep-sea or back bay charters, the following is included: all tackle, bait, licenses and fish cleaning. You just bring personal items such as hats, cameras, suntan lotion, food and drink.

Rates

Half day: $300 (one to three people)
Full day: $500
Deep-sea, full-day private hire: $800
Split charter: $160 per person
