Captain Bob Beighley is your guide at Double Haul Charters, specializing in sight fishing the shallow waters of the Lower Keys for bonefish, tarpon, permit, shark, barracuda and more. He offers a multi-disciplined approach, catering to light-tackle spin fishermen and fly-fishermen alike.

The fishing

Fishing from Captain Bob’s 17’ Maverick skiff, you will target all the top flats species – tarpon, bonefish and (Bob’s favourite) the permit. It’s up to you whether you fish with fly tackle or live bait, but either way, Bob will provide a range of top quality gear.
The areas you will cover include the area between Marathon and Key West including Big Pine Key, Little Torch, Ramrod, Summerland, Cudjoe, Sugarloaf, the Marquesas, and the backcountry of Everglades National Park. Bob fishes out of his house in Cudjoe Key. The wind, water temperature and tides determine where you will fish on any given day.

The only thing keeping you from catching fish with Capt. Bob is “angler error”! He works his butt off putting you in position to catch fish, his tackle, boat, and knowledge are second to none, and he does NOT watch the clock. He obviously enjoys guiding, and especially enjoys watching his clients catch fish.
