The fishing

Playa Blanca’s unique location gives the you access to the first-class, unspoilt fishing of Espiritu Santo Bay. Targeted species include bonefish, permit and tarpon. Some other species anglers might try their skill with are snook, jacks, snapper, triggerfish and barracuda. Laguna Santa Rosa is famous for its year-round juvenile tarpon population as well as some excellent bonefishing and occassionally some great snook fishing.

The facilities

Playa Blanca accommodations comprise seven seaside, thatched, duplex cabanas – all with large bathrooms and each with its own patio overlooking the tropical grounds and nearby Caribbean. All meals are served at Playa Blanca’s beachfront restaurant & bar.

In addition to the fishing, guests can take advantage of snorkelling, back-country kayaking, exploring Mayan ruins and cycling. If that all gets too much, you can simply relax in a hammock beneath the palms.

Also worth noting: there’s an on-site fly shop in case you run out/haven’t brought enough of that week’s hottest fly.
