The fishing

Your guide can take you south and you’ll be in Ascension Bay in 15 minutes, or if the wind blows too hard, you can head north to protected Boca Paila. Either way, you can expect shots at bonefish, permit, tarpon, snook, jacks and barracuda. Given the diverse range of species on offer, it pays to have three rods tackled up and ready to go at any one time – an 8-weight for bones, a 9-weight for permit and a 10-weight for tarpon.

The facilities

Eleven rooms, a dedicated fly shop, 12 boats and a white-sand beach to relax on while not fishing. All rooms have A/C and private bathroom with walk-in showers, most have an ocean view. The spacious Seaclusion house is the centre of all activities.
