Summer special at Pesca Maya Lodge, Mexico

May 19th, 2011| No Comments

Planning a fishing holiday in the coming months? Still looking for a hot deal? Well, you could do a lot worse than head down to Mexico’s Pesca Maya. This summer, the folks at this Ascension Bay lodge are offering 5 nights/4 fishing days for just $1,884 per angler for stays between June 15th and October 31st.

That’s a saving of nearly $500 on the regular rate, which is pretty sweet as far as we’re concerned.

This flats fishing mecca on the Riviera Maya has been servicing visiting anglers’ needs since 1996 and is among the area’s best operators. As a mixed fishery, Ascension Bay is hard to top, but crucially it also offers fishermen a great chance of bagging the flats grand slam (bonefish, permit and tarpon all in a day).

Situated on a long strip of barrier beach 90 miles south of Cancun, the lodge is virtually surrounded by water. To the east lies the Caribbean and on the western side lies the vast ‘El Rio’ system of flats, channels and mangroves.

Pesca Maya can accommodate 22 anglers in the lodge, fishing from 12 boats with the best guides in the area, and a beautiful beach where you can relax while not fishing.
