The fishing
Captain Steve Rodger is a native to Key West and grew up fishing and diving the waters around the Lower Florida Keys. From his Conch27 center console boat, he offers a variety of options.
Fall is great for wahoo, blackfin tuna, bonito and kingfish, while sailfishing is best from fall into winter. He also offers offshore fly-fishing charters for tuna, cobia, sailfish, kingfish and more, not to mention reef and wreck fishing which can be excellent in springtime. Tarpon fishing in the harbor is best in the spring and into the early summer.
Steve pretty much covers the lot, and his position as a veteran diver gives him a unique knowledge of the spots he fishes, and the fish that live there. Just ask world-famous flats fisherman Tom Rowland of Saltwater Experience – Steve is often the man he calls when he’s looking for a day away from the flats.
