Located in Waterville on Ireland’s Ring of Kerry, Kevin Brain’s KB Fishing is a family-run business, specializing in providing visiting anglers with the quintessential Irish fishing experience. Kevin and his sons Gareth and Sion take care of guiding duties, with B&B accommodation provided for those who require it.
The fishing
Whether you’re a fly, spin or bait fisherman, Kevin offers a range of fishing experiences to suit all tastes. You can fish for salmon and seat trout in the rivers and lakes around Waterville, shore fish for bass, pollock, wrasse and more, or if you fancy exploring some more remote spots, Kevin also offers guided kayak trips from €150 for one person (see below for full breakdown of rates).
Whatever you choose, you’ll be in good hands; Kevin has been fishing the waters of Kerry for over 30 years, and has published a book on the subject – The Practical Guide to Fishing the South Kerry Coast.
KB Fishing has appeared in numerous magazine articles throughout Europe (featuring in titles such as Irish Angler, Total Sea Fishing, Today’s FlyFisher and Sea Angler) and has been featured in TV shows alongside legendary bass nut and Irish fishing devotee, Henry Gilbey.

Guided fishing

Packages
Full-Board Package: €335 per person, per week (includes B&B, packed lunch & evening meal)
Fishing Package: €650 per person (based on two sharing). Includes one week’s full-board accommodation and six days’ guided fishing.
