Chubasco Charters – Nassau, Bahamas
One of Nassau’s longest-running and most firmly-established fishing charters. Captain Mike Russell, owner and operator of Chubasco Charters, operates a no-fish no-pay policy on his fleet of four deep-sea fishing boats.
The fishing
Chubasco Fishing Charters specializes in sportfishing off Nassau and Paradise Island, be it big-game, deep-sea fishing or light tackle reef-fishing. Located in Nassau, at Harbour View Marina, 10 minutes from Atlantis Resort, Chubasco’s fleet consists of four yachts, from which you can expect hook up to wahoo, dorado and yellowfin, skipjack and blackfin tuna. Depending on the season, you may also get the chance for a shot at blue marlin. Chubasco Charters operates a full catch & release policy but can still organise taxidermy on all released fish.

Rarely do I write reviews especially negative ones. After taking a Chubasco Charters boat ride I decided to write this review to warm potential future customers.
First of all their boats are very poorly taken care of and have outdated equipment. Second, the boat ride we went on was exactly that, the captain and first mate didn’t even seem like they knew what they were doing. We didn’t have even one single bite that whole trip.
Based on my experience I DO NOT recommend Chubasco Charters.
