The fishing

After 20 years spent fishing the Mosquito Lagoon, Captain Chris brings a treasure trove of experience to the job. He fishes from a Hewes Bayfisher 16’, equipped with an i-pilot Minn Kota trolling motor and Power Pole as well as a Lowrance GPS. This boat will pole in 8-10 inches of water.

Redfish, trout and black drum are year-round targets, while tarpon can be caught from spring through fall. Chris prefers to pole the clear shallow flats of the Mosquito Lagoon, giving anglers the opportunity of sight-fishing (using fly or light-tackle gear) whenever conditions permit.

Located between Daytona Beach and New Smyrna Beach to the north, Cocoa Beach to the south, and Orlando, Kissimmee and Disney World to the west, this is some of central Florida’s best saltwater fishing. Captain Chris also offers fly-casting instruction should you need it.
