In part two of his report from Kooi Noom in Patagonia, Ben Etridge goes spring creek nymphing…
Day 2 – Spring Creeks
There are about five miles of spring creek at Kooi Noom. Most of it is an upland terrain holding very good populations of trout in the 1-4lb range. They are fresh, stunning to look at and require tricky casts.
We caught them on a variety of nymphs and attractor patterns. The water temperature now (early summer in Patagonia) is still very cold so the takes are soft.
