Premier Belize fishing lodge, El Pescador, is set to take centre stage when new series Buccaneers & Bones starts on the Outdoor Channel in the US on December 31 (7pm ET).

The follow-up to Pirates of the Flats, presented in partnership with the Bonefish & Tarpon Trust, reunites Tom Brokaw, Michael Keaton, Yvon Chouinard, Thomas McGuane, Zach Gilford, Bill Klyn and Lori-Ann Murphy, as they cast off from Ambergris Caye in search of the holy trinity: bonefish, tarpon and permit.

The series, narrated by Brokaw, will explore the wonders of bonefishing through the eyes of this all-star cast who have each devoted a significant part of their lives to conservation causes. The series also will reveal some of the latest research funded by BTT and other organizations.

Along the way, viewers will get an up-close look at one of the world’s finest fishing lodges, El Pescador, and the world-class fishery that sits on its doorstep. Long regarded as a leading permit fishery, the flats that surround El Pescador also offer fishermen a realistic chance at the fabled grand slam.
