Beautiful hotel in the heart of the English countryside? Check. Old-world charm? Of course. Fantastic food and fishing? Naturally. Croquet lawn? Need you ask…
So this is where we spent a weekend recently – the Old Swan and Minster Mill on the River Windrush in the Cotswolds. Tucked away in a secluded pocket of Oxfordshire just an hour-and-a-half from London, this boutique-style property offers a little something for everyone – from families to fishermen and everyone in between.
Obviously we were there for the fishing (which is superb), but we’d have been happy even we couldn’t have cast a line. If you’re looking for the best of English hospitality, this little gem would be hard to top. Read the full Fishipedia report here
