The fishing

Bonefishermen are spoilt for choice at Small Hope Bay Lodge – from the productive flats of Fresh Creek and the North Bight all the way to the Joulters in the far north of the island and Red Bay on the north-west side, this area is one of the hottest bonefish destinations on the planet. Guests are guided by some of the island’s finest captains – Brent Mackey (aka Bonefish Bradley), Ricardo Mackey and Jeff Cartwright – in first-class skiffs.
You’ll need a guide to reach the best spots, but those looking for a spot of DIY bonefishing can check out Davis Creek, the bay right in front of your cabin, Fresh Creek, and a few other secret spots.
Overnight trips for bonefish and tarpon on the uninhabited west side of Andros can also be arranged.

The facilities

Friendly, homely, informal, relaxed – these are the kinds of words people routinely use to describe Small Hoppe Bay. Life focuses around the central lodge, with its comfortable couches and throw-pillows, dining area, lounge/bar area, games room and reading room.
There are 21 rooms s in the beachfront cottages, each hand built using coral rock and Andros Pine, with overhead ceiling fans (half of the rooms have air-conditioning) and locally made furniture. Each has private toilet/shower facilities and is fully tiled. King-size beds and single beds are available. There are four 2-bedroom cottages for families.
