Saltery Lodge – Alaska
Located about 25 miles from Ketchikan, Saltery Lodge is a special destination – a luxury lodge accommodating up to eight anglers and offering access to incredible saltwater and freshwater fishing in a spectacular wilderness setting. Anglers can mix and match guided and unguided trips.
The fishing
Flexibility is the name of the game for anglers at Saltery. Head into the saltwater and you can fish for king salmon, silver salmon, pink salmon, halibut, and other bottom fish. Halibut fishing is also good all summer in southeast Alaska. If freshwater fishing is more your thing, you can arrange for either guided or unguided trips. The nearby Naha River system is a world-class southeast Alaska fishing stream containing salmon and trout.
The facilities
Saltery Lodge is a genuinely luxurious destination – top-class facilities, superior comfort and stunning surroundings helping to give this lodge a class-apart feel. Three bedrooms and a further super-sized master suite accommodate up to eight anglers, the great room seats up to 15 and the dining room has windows on both sides so you can check out bears, seals and eagles while you tuck into the excellent food.
