The fishing

According to the folks at the lodge, “North Riding Point Club has access to the best bonefishing flats on both the north and south shores of Grand Bahama. The north shore of Grand Bahama has the largest bonefish habitat, comprising several hundred square miles of flats, inlets, and mangrove-covered cays literally teeming with large, wild bonefish. It is not uncommon to see dozens, if not hundreds, of fish in a single day.

“Grand Bahama is also the place to catch large bonefish – fish in the 10-12lb range are fairly common. Fishing is done from a poled 16′ Dolphin boat with 85 hp yamaha, although in several areas the wading is first-rate.”

The facilities

There are seven guest rooms in total. Four of them are in two separate cottages, with one in the main lodge – each contains two queen-sized beds, a full bathroom with a separate bath and shower, extensive closets and a wall safe. All the rooms have large screened-in patios facing the beach.
There are a further two bedrooms in the deluxe Founders Cottage, which comes complete with two bathrooms, a kitchen, bar, ice-maker and living room with TV.
All the buildings are air-conditioned. The lodge contains the kitchen, dining room, lounge, bar, and one guest room. NRPC maintains a small tackle shop and fly-tying station.
Other activities available at NRPC include snorkeling, diving, kayaking, nature tours, horseback riding, and golf.
