The fishing

As Captain Brian says, you can bring you own boat, charter with Brian himself or head out with your favorite Mosquito Lagoon guide – whichever option you choose, you’re going to experience some of the best fly-fishing and light-tackle sport for redfish anywhere. Throw in some top-drawer snook sport and seasonal shots at tarpon, and you’ll quickly find this is one of the most exciting shallow water fisheries anywhere.

If you choose to book a day with Captain Brian, you’ll be guided in his 18′ Hell’s Bay Waterman. For poling and sight-fishing in the shallows at the north end of the Mosquito Lagoon it’s the perfect hull – very quiet with an extremely shallow draft. Light spinning tackle consists of Loomis rods and Shimano reels. Fly rods are Loomis coupled with Abel reels.

The facilities

The property comprises two waterfront units – the 2/1 and an efficiency.

The 2/1 has comfortable bedrooms, a large dining table and a living room with ample seating. The bedrooms contain two full-size beds and one full size and twin.

The efficiency has a full-size and twin bed. Linens and towels are provided and both have well-equipped kitchens, cable TV and wireless internet.

Rates

2/1 Unit: $150 per night (for one or two persons) or $200 per night (for three or four persons)

Efficiency Unit: $100 per night (sleeps two)
