The fishing

Situated in the Sian Ka’an biosphere, at the gateway to the world-renowned Ascension Bay fishery, Boca Paila Lodge might be one of the best places on earth to go after saltwater fly-fishing’s grand slam – bonefish, tarpon and permit all in the same day. The bonefish here might be smaller on average than their Bahamian cousins but their abundance makes up for it. And there are few places that can boast a permit population like the one you’ll find here.

The facilities

Beautifully-appointed ocean-front rooms with a capacity for up to 18 people, excellent restaurant and a fleet of boats ready to take you straight to the fishing action.

Rates

7-night/6-days fishing: $3,100 approx (double occupancy, prices vary depending on time of year).
Price includes meals, guided fishing for all days and transfers. Shorter and longer stays can be arranged as can individual guided fishing days.
